Neurological Health Care at Terrain Health

Clearer thinking. Calmer days. Support that fits real life.

When your brain and nervous system are out of sync, everything can feel a little "off."

Maybe you're more forgetful than usual. Maybe you're dizzy, wired, but tired, or sleeping poorly. Even simple days can start feeling like a lot.

At Terrain Health, we take a step back, piece together the big picture, and ask why symptoms show up in the first place. We want to support you in creating a plan that you can actually stick with.

What do we mean by Neurological Health?

Your nervous system is your body’s control center. It consists of your brain, spinal cord, and nervous tissues. It can malfunction in several different ways, such as the following:

Brain fog or feeling "not as sharp."

Headaches/migraines

Tingling, burning, or numbness

Dizziness or loss of balance

Insomnia, trouble sleeping, or staying asleep

Mood alterations that appear to be associated with the symptoms

It is rare when these issues are attributed to a single factor. It can be your metabolism, hormones, gut, immune responses, stress, and environment.

Our task is to sift through all that information and find the patterns that are most significant to you, so we know where to concentrate our attention.

Who We Serve

We often work with people who observe things such as:

Frequent Headaches or Migraines

Brain Fog, Memory Lapses, or Processing Delays

Tingling, pins and needles sensation, burning, or numbness associated with hands and feet

Symptoms appearing after a brain concussion or due to a virus

Dizziness, light-headedness, or unsteadiness

Sleep difficulties that affect your days

Feeling "on edge" or more reactive when symptoms flare

It’s necessary to address anything that appears different, serious, or more concerning. We are glad to be with you on your follow-up care as you maintain your treatment now that you are stable.

How Care Works

Visit 1: Your Story Comes First (approx. 60 minutes)

We start with listening. The things we will discuss during your first visit are:

  • Your main symptoms, and when they started
  • Sleep patterns and energy
  • Nutrition and digestion
  • Stress and the load of life
  • Previous injuries, illnesses, and infections
  • Medicines, dietary supplements, and previous tests

We will set some specific goals, and you will select some gentle and realistic start steps.

We don't start giving you a comprehensive plan on your first visit. That would be after we have reviewed your testing and examined everything with new eyes.

Bottom Line: Between Visits, Only the Tests That Matter

If test results are likely to alter your care, focused labs may be ordered, such as:

  • Metabolic and inflammation markers
  • Vitamin and nutrient levels
  • Simple sleep, symptom, or HRV tracking

Testing and specialty tests usually occur through your current medical network. We maintain that testing is practical and purposeful, so it does not become overwhelming.

Visit 2: Results and Your Plan (approximately 60 minutes)

During your second visit, we go over your results in plain English and help tie them back to symptoms. You will receive:

  • A written plan is available for reference
  • A few "start now" actions so you know what to do first
  • A follow-up schedule that fits your life and energy

What Your Plan May Include

Everyday Foundations for Brain and Nerve Health

  • Restorative sleep: Assisting you with finding a realistic bedtime, wake-up time, and unwinding routine that benefits your nervous system.
  • Food that stabilizes energy and mood: Adding enough protein, Fiber, healthy fats, and water for blood sugar and energy, as well as brain function.
  • Stress tools that fit your day: Quick breaks and easy activities that help you take deep breaths and relax your system without adding anything else to your list.
  • Movement that supports, not strains: Gentle walking, movement exercises, and weight training modified for your joints, endurance, and symptoms so that you’re supported, not stressed.
  • Recovery habits: Lots of morning sunlight, short walks after meals, and an evening that winds down and lets your brain and nerves recover.

Targeted Support for Particular Concerns

Your plan may also involve the following, depending on what you are working with:

  • Headaches and Migraines: Routines, hydration and electrolytes, sleep and light hygiene, and working with your prescribing physician.
  • Symptoms such as tingling, burning, and neuropathic anesthesia Can Be Alleviated Through Blood sugar support, testing key nutrients when appropriate, and gentle movement that supports nerve health without exacerbating symptoms.
  • Postviral or postexertional symptoms: Activity pacing, nervous system calming techniques, and strict protection of sleep and rest.
  • Brain Fog and Focus Issues: Effective hands-on practices, subtle changes within your surroundings, and simple planning tools that improve thinking, remembering, and implementation.

We are constantly ensuring interactions with any medications before we recommend any supplements. We will communicate with your other healthcare providers as necessary.

Safety and Coordination

We watch for red-flag symptoms, including:

  • New or worsening weakness
  • Having severe headaches
  • Sudden change in your  speech or vision
  • High fever with neurologic symptoms
  • Being confused or having major changes in behavior

If any of these symptoms pop up, we refer you to emergency care immediately. We also communicate updates with your primary care provider and any specialists so that everyone is on the same page.

What to Expect Over Time

Many people begin to notice small but meaningful changes within the first few weeks, such as better sleep, steadier energy, or fewer intense flare days. Larger shifts often take more time. We focus on steady progress and track a few simple markers so you can see how things are changing along the way.
