What is non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation?

Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation is a non-invasive procedure that utilizes various technologies to address and enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of your vaginal area without the need for surgery, harsh creams, chemicals, or lengthy downtimes.

Here at Terrain Health, Tracey Sheedy, PA-C performs non- surgical vaginal rejuvenation with the MonaLisa Touch® system.

How does MonaLisa Touch work?

MonaLisa Touch® uses fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) energy to gently heat vaginal tissues, which then boosts collagen and elastin production in your vaginal walls. As your collagen and elastin production ramps up, you'll notice an improvement in the tone and elasticity of your vaginal tissue. The increased elasticity and improved blood flow help support healthy vaginal mucosa, improve lubrication, increase sexual satisfaction, and combat other symptoms of vaginal atrophy that are common in

During your procedure, the provider inserts the handheld device into the treatment area, where it emits short laser pulses. The process takes about five minutes. You'll need a total of three sessions over the course of 18 weeks, but most women experience relief by the second session.

Is MonaLisa Touch right for you?

You might consider non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation with MonaLisa Touch if:

You have symptoms of vaginal atrophy

During menopause, your estrogen levels drop, which can make your vaginal lining thin, less elastic, and dehydrated. Also known as vaginal atrophy, this condition can lead to:

- Vaginal dryness

- Dyspareunia

- Burning or itching sensations

- Increased urinary tract infections

- Urinary incontinence

Treatment with the MonaLisa Touch® can help you overcome these symptoms.

MonaLisa Touch® doesn't just treat vaginal atrophy related to menopause. Vaginal tightening via laser therapy can also help tighten up lax vaginal tissue that can result after childbirth.

You want a hormone-free therapy

Because MonaLisa Touch® uses the power of light energy to stimulate collagen production and combat vaginal dryness, you don't need to rely on hormone therapies or chemicals to address your symptoms.

Hormone-free therapy is even more important if you're considering MonaLisa Touch® as part of your postpartum recovery.

You don't want a lengthy downtime

Unlike surgical vaginal rejuvenation, MonaLisa Touch® doesn't require a long recovery period. You can expect to return to normal activities but should refrain from sexual activity for 2-3 days.

Enjoy sexual intimacy again!
